Translator Volunteer Opportunities with Pacific Environment – San Francisco

Help Pacific Environment with translations from Russian to English and English to Russian as well as Chinese-English/English-Chinese for about 3-5 hours per week. Most translations will be for environmental conservation and international travel documents. Please contact (415) 399-8850 for more information.

Habitat Restoration, Beach Clean-up and More -- Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy (Bay Area)

Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy holds weekly ongoing volunteer opportunities at multiple sites throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The volunteer opportunities are a cooperative park wide effort of Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and the Presidio Trust. Habitat Restoration – Save The Bay (Oakland)

Sign up for one of Save The Bay’s community restoration programs and help to restore and protect the Bay while learning about plants and animals along the shoreline. Save The Bay works with volunteers to restore natural wetland habitats by hand at several sites around San Francisco Bay. For more information, visit www.savesfbay.org/volunteer.

Greening the City- Our City Forest (San Jose)

Help grow the urban forest with various activities such as tree planting, early tree care, and tree maintenance during weekly events throughout San Jose. For more information, visit www.ourcityforest.org/volunteer/events.

Beach Cleanup for Private/Corporate Teams – Save Our Shores (Santa Cruz/Monterey)

Private/Corporate cleanups are organized for your company to come out and clean the beach! Cleanups are fun, educational, and beneficial for the environment while helping to building stronger leadership among your team!  Contact for more information.

Public Monthly Beach Cleanups – Save Our Shores (Santa Cruz/Monterey)

Join one of the monthly Saturday public cleanups in Santa Cruz (every 3rd Saturday) or Monterey (every 2nd Saturday) from 10am-noon. To find your nearest location, visit  www.saveourshores.org

Nothing But Sand Beach Cleanups – Heal The Bay (Santa Monica)

Join hundreds of other community members to clean up Santa Monica’s beaches. Nothin’ But Sand is held every third Saturday of each month from 10 – 12pm. All details and sign-ups are available on the Calendar of Events at www.healthebay.org/events

Water Quality Monitoring Team & Beach Cleanups - San Diego Coastkeeper (San Diego)

San Diego Coastkeeper provides an array of volunteer programs for people interested in helping protect the health of San Diego's inland and coastal waters. Participate in a beach cleanup, learn to monitor water quality, or conduct a smartphone survey of San Diego marine protected areas. For more information, visit www.sdcoastkeeper.org
