Surfrider Foundation
The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches.
Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 80 chapters worldwide. Our string of recent victories include successful efforts to restore Surfer’s Point in Ventura, halt the discharge of partially treated sewage into the ocean off San Luis Obispo, and stave off a proposed toll road project that threatens San Onofre State Beach Park and the world famous surfing resources at Trestles.
